Basketball Game Preview: Clarion-Limestone Lions vs. Clarion Area Bobcats

The Clarion-Limestone Lions will take on the Clarion Area Bobcats in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Clarion-Limestone is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They snuck past Moniteau with a 57-52 win.

Clarion-Limestone found their leader in sophomore Paul Craig, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points. Those 32 points gave Craig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Runyan, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clarion Area). They secured a 58-52 W over Lakeview on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bobcats who have now won three games in a row.

Clarion-Limestone didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Clarion Area in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win.
