Football Recap: Cusick Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Cusick was feeling good fresh off their 66-46 takedown of Columbia last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were dealt a 68-8 loss at the hands of the Pomeroy Pirates on Friday. The Panthers were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the four contests prior), but the Pirates' defense proved too tough.

Kyzer Herres produced another solid performance rushing for 169 yards and three scores on only 15 carries for Pomeroy. Another rusher making a difference was Wyatt Huwe, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD.

Cusick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pomeroy, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Cusick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pomeroy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 86-22 victory against Tulalip Heritage on the 15th.
