Football Recap: Hernando Skates Past Seven Rivers Christian with Ease

Hernando barely beat Seven Rivers Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hernando Leopards claimed a resounding 27-0 victory over the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Leopards sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Hernando found their leader in sophomore Carlie Grant, who threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards. Alexis Sway also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Hernando didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Keyasia Gaines led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Hernando's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Seven Rivers Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Hernando will venture away from home to take on Seven Rivers Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against St. John Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Seven Rivers Christian's defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so St. John Lutheran's offense will have their work cut out for them.
