Recap: Cook Hornets vs. Tift County Blue Devils
The Cook Hornets lost against the Tift County Blue Devils back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cook fell 54-41 to Tift County.
Cook's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Hawkins, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ny'shaun Wallace, who scored 13 points.
Cook's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tift County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Cook won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dodge County at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Dodge County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Tift County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
