Baseball Recap: Hiawatha Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hiawatha and Amboy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Hiawatha had to settle for second. They lost 12-1 to the Clippers. The Hawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Clippers from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Hiawatha saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Cooper, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Hiawatha has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Amboy, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

As of now, neither Hiawatha nor the Clippers have any future games scheduled.
