Soccer Game Preview: East River vs. Lake Buena Vista

The East River Falcons will take on the Lake Buena Vista Vipers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

East River came up short against Dr. Phillips on Tuesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Panthers are ranked 151st).

East River's goal came courtesy of Ethan Meyer, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Buena Vista sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Oak Ridge on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for East River and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Lake Buena Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1.
