East Bay posted their closest victory since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Armwood Hawks 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

J.J. Groover tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jeffrey Diab was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Connor Gavigan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

East Bay's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Armwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
