Volleyball Recap: Los Banos Takes a Loss

Los Banos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the El Capitan Gauchos. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gauchos this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-11.

Kenneth Mua had a dynamite game For El Capitan., getting 21 digs and one assist. Mua has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Los Banos' loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for El Capitan, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Los Banos is set to challenge their familiar foe Atwater at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Capitan will face off against rival Merced at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
