Volleyball Recap: Reedy Comes Up Short

Reedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Oaks Grizzlies. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Grizzlies when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bree Benningfield paced Reedy's offense, picking up eight kills. Benningfield got some help from Karina Crowder and her 19 assists.

Reedy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Grand Oaks, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Reedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against V.R. Eaton on the 21st. As for Grand Oaks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cleburne on the 21st.
