Volleyball Game Preview: Peninsula Panthers vs. South Spartans

Peninsula hasn't had much luck against South recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Peninsula, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Peninsula turned things around against Wiseburn- Da Vinci on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when South duked it out with North on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 3-2.

Peninsula's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 13-8. As for South, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 24-8.

Peninsula might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from South when the teams last played back in September. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
