Basketball Preview: Sissonville Indians vs. Poca The Dots
Sissonville is 0-10 against the The Dots since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Sissonville Indians will be playing at home against the Poca The Dots at 7:00 p.m. Sissonville will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Even though Ripley scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Sissonville still came out on top. Sissonville secured a 70-65 W over the Vikings.
Max Moore was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine assists.
Meanwhile, Poca's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 42-22 defeat at the hands of Charleston Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Poca has scored all season.
Sissonville's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Poca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
