Basketball Game Preview: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Wesclin Warriors

The Chester Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Wesclin Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wesclin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chester, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Chester didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Red Bud, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Musketeers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Wesclin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Carlyle.

Chester's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Wesclin, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-10.

Chester might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from Wesclin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Chester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
