Volleyball Recap: Sydney Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bandera over Southwest Legacy

Bandera was the 2-0 winner over Southwest Legacy when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The BULLDOGS fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The BULLDOGS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Bandera sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 12-25, 25-20.

Bandera's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Moore, who had 13 digs and ten kills. Moore is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 17 games she's played. Kyra Blake was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Bandera's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Southwest Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Bandera will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Young Women's Leadership Academy at 12:00 p.m. As for Southwest Legacy, they will take on Natalia in a tournament on Thursday.
