Georgetown is 9-1 against Elgin since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Elgin is hoping to do what Hargrave couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Georgetown's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Georgetown walked away with a 61-50 win over Hargrave. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Falcons are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Elgin duked it out withHyde Park on Saturday. Elgin strolled past Hyde Park with points to spare, taking the game 59-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Georgetown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Elgin, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
