Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers vs. Independence Bulldogs

The St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Independence Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, St. Mary's-Colgan came up short against Galena and fell 49-40. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Independence had to suffer through a 68-34 loss at the hands of Field Kindley. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Golden Tornado are ranked 97th).

St. Mary's-Colgan's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
