Baseball Recap: Lexington Triumphs

Lexington won the last time they faced Jackson North Side and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Indians by a score of 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Logan Hayes tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Lexington is 3-1 when Hayes allows two or fewer earned runs, but 3-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Lexington's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cager James, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave James a new career-high. Another was Ross McDaniel, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Jackson North Side, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
