Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy and Whitney Young squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Kennedy had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost three in a row.

Kennedy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Exequiel Vargas, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Whitney Young, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Kennedy will take on Disney II at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.43 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of. Whitney Young does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
