Baseball Recap: Dewitt Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

DeWitt barely beat East Grand Rapids the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

DeWitt has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for East Grand Rapids, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeWitt will head out to take on Haslett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Grand Rapids, they will venture away from home to face off against Forest Hills Eastern at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
