Basketball Game Preview: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. Pahokee Blue Devils

Okeechobee is 7-0 against Pahokee since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Okeechobee Brahmans will welcome the Pahokee Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Okeechobee is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Okeechobee will head into Friday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Heritage on Friday. Okeechobee blew past Heritage 62-27. The Brahmans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Okeechobee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Oliver Saunders, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Saunders is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. James Jasper was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-30, which was the final score in Pahokee's tilt against Glades Central on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Pahokee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Okeechobee, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
