Basketball Recap: Priest River Comes Up Short

Priest River lost against Sandpoint back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans had to suffer through a 77-26 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Priest River's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sandpoint, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Priest River and Sandpoint will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Spartans see the court they'll take on Orofino at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for Sandpoint, their break will end when they face Sequim at 3:30 p.m. on January 1, 2026.
