After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rye, Rocky Ford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Crowley County Chargers 3-2. The game was the first time the Meloneers have beaten the Chargers on their court since August 24, 2021.

Rocky Ford's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Crowley County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Rocky Ford will head out on the road to face off against Swallows Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crowley County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Walsenburg on the 21st.
