Unioto had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They managed a 56-51 victory over the Washington Blue Lions. For the Shermans, this counts as revenge for the 69-62 win the Blue Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Noah Haithcock, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Haithcock is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Roman Chijevsky, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

Unioto's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Unioto and River Valley will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Unioto is facing River Valley at the right time seeing as River Valley is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Washington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-44 loss against Oakwood on the 28th.
