Greenwich Country Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Taft School Big Red on Wednesday, falling 5-1.

Looking ahead, Greenwich Country Day will head out to take on Rye Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Taft School, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Brunswick School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
