Volleyball Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood was the 3-0 winner over Southwestern Randolph when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Cougars on Thursday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-13.

Northwood's offense was headlined by Imani Henderson and Shae Leighton, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Dorsey and her ten assists.

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Southwestern Randolph, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8.

Northwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 23rd. As for Southwestern Randolph, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jordan-Matthews on the 22nd.
