Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ray). They blew past the King Mustangs 3-0 on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Texans pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Luke Gunning and Oscar Munoz scored all three of Ray's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Ray's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 4-7-1. As for King, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Ray will face off against Corpus Christi Moody at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King, they will take on Alice at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
