Softball Recap: Fountain Valley Comes Up Short

Fountain Valley was the 8-0 winner over Brea Olinda when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fountain Valley fell just short of Brea Olinda by a score of 9-8 on Saturday.

Fountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Brea Olinda, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fountain Valley will venture away from home to challenge Newport Harbor at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fountain Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Newport Harbor has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Brea Olinda, they are taking a road trip to take on Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
