Softball Game Preview: Fisher Catholic Irish vs. Millersport Lakers

Fisher Catholic has won three straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Millersport has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. Fisher Catholic will take on Millersport at 5:15 p.m. The game will give Fisher Catholic their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Fisher Catholic lost 10-2 to Logan Elm on Wednesday.

Aubrey Beaseau made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ava Brue, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Millersport made sure to put some runs up on the board against Harvest Prep on Monday. Millersport blew past Harvest Prep 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Claire Haney, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Emma Raver was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Millersport's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Fisher Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Fisher Catholic's way against Millersport in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Fisher Catholic made off with an 11-2 victory. Will Fisher Catholic repeat their success, or does Millersport has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
