Basketball Game Preview: Groesbeck Goats vs. Teague Lions

The Groesbeck Goats are taking a road trip to square off against the Teague Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Groesbeck is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Groesbeck came up short against Elkhart and fell 45-35.

Meanwhile, Teague was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Buffalo on the road by a 64-46 margin.

Groesbeck's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Teague, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Groesbeck was able to grind out a solid win over Teague when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 69-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Teague's Brayden Leija, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.
