Basketball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue lost against Highlands back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bellevue Tigers took a blow against the Highlands Bluebirds, falling 78-32. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Bluebirds are ranked 67th).

Bellevue dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Highlands, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will face off against Robertson County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Highlands, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cooper at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Highlands' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
