Basketball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short

Altoona lost against Chambersburg back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Altoona Mountain Lions were beaten by the Chambersburg Trojans 61-32. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Trojans are ranked 28th).

This is the second loss in a row for Altoona and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Chambersburg, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

When Altoona and Chambersburg next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Altoona will try to stop Middletown's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Meanwhile, Chambersburg will face off against Wilson and their three-game winning streak at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
