It was a good run, but the South Texas Christian Academy Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against South Lancaster Academy, falling 64-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Texas Christian Academy has scored all season.
South Texas Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jovan Ramirez, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Zumaya, who scored seven points along with two steals.
South Texas Christian Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for South Lancaster Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
South Texas Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Juan Diego Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for South Lancaster Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Immaculate Heart of Mary at 5:30 p.m.
