Soccer Recap: Union Grove Christian Comes Up Short

The matchup between Union Grove Christian and Alamance Christian on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Patriots came up short against the Warriors, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Union Grove Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Alamance Christian are ranked 64th).

Union Grove Christian's goal came courtesy of Ashton Everhart, who's now up to two this season.

Union Grove Christian dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Alamance Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Union Grove Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Triad Baptist Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Alamance Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
