Softball Recap: Springport Starts Season with Victory Against East Jackson

Springport gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They never let the East Jackson Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

East Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springport is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Stockbridge at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Jackson, they will challenge Hanover-Horton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
