Baseball Game Preview: IC Imagine Kingfishers vs. Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders

IC Imagine hasn't had much luck against Bethel Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The IC Imagine Kingfishers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders at 4:00 p.m.

On Thursday, IC Imagine came up short against Asheville School (Independent) and fell 12-9.

Meanwhile, Bethel Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Mountain View Christian Academy with a sharp 10-2 victory. Fans of the Crusaders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Dylan Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Hughes, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jon McMahan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Bethel Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .296.

Bethel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for IC Imagine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
