Softball Recap: West Side Takes a Loss

West Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 24-11 to the Irvington Blue Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roughriders of the 20-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

West Side's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Irvington, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Side will venture away from home to take on St. Vincent Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Irvington, they will challenge Arts at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.2 runs per game on average), something the Blue Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
