League recap: Concrete tops Orcas Island to extend winning streak

Concrete extended the longest winning streak in 1A/2B Northwest this week by beating Orcas Island, 14-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Lions.

Tacoma Baptist took down Chief Leschi 66-16 last week, the largest margin of any game.

LaConner's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Braves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sean Hulbert has thrown for 884 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Jamall James has 15 catches for 382 yards. Dahlton Zavala leads the league in rushing with 711 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when LaConner takes on Concrete. The Braves have allowed 100 points this season, while Ron Rood's team has given up 106. LaConner allowed 6 points last week as it bested Darrington.

The Crusaders led the league in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on the Warriors.
