North Fork took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12.
The Vanguard School found their leader in sophomore Ainsley Anderson, who had seven digs and three aces. Anderson has been hot , having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played.
North Fork now has a losing record at 11-12. As for The Vanguard School, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gunnison the next time they take the court. North Fork will head out to face Gunnison at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while The Vanguard School will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
