Baseball Recap: Socorro Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dexter last Thursday, Socorro came back down to earth. Socorro came up short against the New Mexico Military Institute Colts on Friday, falling 15-2.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for New Mexico Military Institute, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Socorro will take on Ruidoso in a tournament on Saturday. Socorro's pitchers better be ready for this one: Ruidoso has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they will be playing at home against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
