Softball Recap: Lawrence Central Comes Up Short

Lawrence Central managed to slip by North Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears came up short against the Panthers on Friday, falling 9-2. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lawrence Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliana Luter, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lawrence Central dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for North Central, they moved to 6-13-1 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Lawrence Central and North Central will both be playing Living Water Homeschool the next time they take the field. The Bears will host the Marlins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Panthers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
