Volleyball Recap: Stephenson Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road + How To Watch

Stephenson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Menominee Maroons by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (98-97) Stephenson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 26-24, 29-27, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Austyn Buelteman and Aunna Havelka, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Cappaert and her 17 assists. Havelka was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Stephenson pushed their record up to 8-21-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Menominee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-17.

Stephenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Menominee, they will challenge Manistique at 6:00 p.m. on November 5.
