The matchup between Petoskey and Sault Area on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Northmen walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Blue Devils. The Northmen haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Cadarette, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Lyla Janes, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Petoskey's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Sault Area, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Petoskey will challenge Traverse City Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sault Area, they will face off against Brimley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
