Softball Recap: Grossmont Foothillers vs. Monte Vista Monarchs
Grossmont entered their tilt with Monte Vista on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Monarchs get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in April.
Nakhia Lee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, Grossmont let Ashley Beard and Heidi Villa run wild.
