Preview: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams vs. George School Cougars

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The George School Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will be strutting in after a victory while George School will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech humbled Montrose with a 46-14 victory. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech pushed the score to 46-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Montrose cut but never quite recovered from.

Braxtyn Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 223 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Ashton Smith also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Tyson Brown and Gabe Souder who racked up four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, George School is still winless after their matchup against Caravel two weeks ago, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. George School was just a hair shy of victory and fell 2-0 to Caravel. While losing is never fun, George School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 559th in Pennsylvania, while Caravel is ranked third in Delaware).

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's win on Saturday bumped their record up to 2-6. As for George School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech ended up a good deal behind George School in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, losing 68-52. Can Columbia Montour Vo-Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
