Volleyball Recap: Chalker Beats Badger for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Chalker hadn't done well against Badger recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats skirted past the Braves 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Chalker was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 28-30, 25-20, 15-12.

Badger's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alison Price, who had 30 digs and 12 kills. Price has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilly Schmidt, who had 15 digs and six aces.

Chalker's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Badger, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chalker will take on rival Maplewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Badger is set to challenge their familiar foe Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
