Softball Recap: Carson Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Galena

Carson faced Galena in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Senators fell 4-1 to the Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Senators have lost by exactly three runs.

Cali Stagliano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one stolen base. Lillian Barker also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Carson dropped their record down to 7-7-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Galena, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-11-1.

While Carson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
