Basketball Recap: Emerson Comes Up Short

If Emerson was feeling good fresh off their 66-39 takedown of Gurdon last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Emerson Pirates fell 73-64 to the Hermitage Hermits on Tuesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hermits apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Emerson dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hermitage, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-13.

Emerson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bradley at 7:00 p.m. As for Hermitage, they will face off against Bearden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
