Softball Recap: Glenbard West Comes Up Short

Riverside-Brookfield hit Glenbard West with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hilltoppers lost 16-7 to the Bulldogs.

Emma Eltzroth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs. Ellie Frank was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Glenbard West's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they pushed their record up to 22-9 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road.

As of now, neither Glenbard West nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
