Basketball Game Preview: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions vs. Pima Roughriders

The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pima Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.

On Friday, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Palo Verde and fell 51-48. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noah McKinney, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Lambe, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.

Meanwhile, Pima came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 52-40.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Pima, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy came up short against Pima in their previous matchup back in February of 2016, falling 66-53. Can Pusch Ridge Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
