Volleyball Game Preview: Holdrege Dusters vs. Minden Whippets

Holdrege is 1-9 against Minden since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Dusters will be playing at home against the Whippets at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Holdrege didn't have quite enough to beat Gothenburg and fell 3-2.

The 3-2 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 30-28, 23-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Minden not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Cozad 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Whippets.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Minden took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-5, 25-13.

Holdrege's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Minden, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Holdrege was able to grind out a solid win over Minden when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. Will the Dusters repeat their success, or do the Whippets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
