Softball Recap: Mater Bay Academy Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mater Bay Academy's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Florida Christian Patriots on Wednesday. The Rays haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mater Bay Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Florida Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mater Bay Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Key West at 3:30 p.m. on April 2nd. As for Florida Christian, they will be playing at home against Coral Reef at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Florida Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Coral Reef's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
